I pronomi personali soggetto in inglese: I, you, he, she, it, we, they

Livello A1 Pronomi
Idea chiave

In inglese i pronomi personali soggetto sono sette: I, you, he, she, it, we, they.

Esempi

  • I am a student. the speaker is a student
  • It is cold today. describing the weather
  • They live here. more than one person lives here

  1. I · you · he · she · it · we · they

seven little words every sentence needs

Is raining.

  3. I sette pronomi soggetto

    Singolare
    • I
    • you
    • he / she / it
    Plurale
    • we
    • you
    • they

Sono esattamente sette, divisi per numero. Singolare: I, you, he, she, it. Plurale: we, you, they.

  4. I am a student.

    'I' va sempre in maiuscolo

I am a student.

  5. You are my friend.

    'you' = una persona qui

You are my friend.

  6. You are all welcome.

'you' = tanti qui — stessa parola

You are all welcome.

  7. She is a doctor.

he = un uomo · she = una donna

Per le altre persone: he per un uomo, she per una donna. She is a doctor.

  8. It is on the table.

    'it' = cose e animali

It vale per cose e animali — tutto ciò che non chiameresti he o she. It is on the table.

  9. It is cold today.

    'it' riempie il soggetto vuoto

It is cold today.

  10. We live here.

    'we' include te

We sei tu più almeno un'altra persona — te compreso. We live here.

  11. They live here.

They live here.

  12. ✗ Is raining. senza soggetto
✓ It is raining. soggetto richiesto

L'inglese vuole sempre un soggetto esplicito.

Ecco la grande trappola. Altre lingue dicono solo Is raining. L'inglese deve dire It is raining — dai sempre un soggetto al verbo.

  13. ✗ i am tired. i minuscola
    ✓ I am tired. I sempre maiuscola

Il pronome 'I' va sempre in maiuscolo.

E nello scritto, la parola I è sempre in maiuscolo — mai minuscola, neanche a metà frase.

  14. Ricorda

    • I, you, he, she, it, we, they
    • 'you' = uno o tanti · 'it' = cose e tempo
    • Ogni frase ha bisogno di un soggetto

Quindi: I, you, he, she, it, we, they.
